# Take payments with QR Terminal

QR Terminal turns your phone, tablet or laptop into a payment counter. You key in the amount, BCL shows a QR code, and your customer scans it with their banking or e-wallet app. It suits events, booths and shop counters.

## Set up QR Terminal

Do this once, after you [connect your Bayarcash account](/connect-bayarcash/):

1. Go to **Platform Setup** > **Payment** and open the **QR Terminal** tab.
2. In **Portal Key**, choose the Bayarcash portal that receives QR payments.
3. In **QR Payment Channels**, choose the channels to offer, such as DuitNow QR.
4. Optionally, add your own preset amounts in **Quick Amounts (RM)**.
5. Click **Save QR Terminal Settings**.

## Take a payment

Open the terminal from **Quick Actions** > **QR Terminal**, or from **Payments** > **QR Terminal** in the sidebar. Then:

1. Key in the amount on the keypad, or tap a quick amount. The minimum is RM2.00.
2. Optionally, open **Customer** and add the customer's name, phone or email.
3. If you offer more than one channel, choose one under **Payment Channel**.
4. Tap **GENERATE QR** and show the code to your customer.

The screen shows a countdown and checks for the payment by itself. When the payment arrives, you see **Payment Received** and a chime plays. Tap **NEW PAYMENT** for the next customer, or wait and the terminal resets itself.

## If the QR code expires

When the countdown ends, you see **QR EXPIRED**:

- If your customer says they paid, tap **Customer already paid? Check status** first.
- Otherwise, tap **REGENERATE QR** to show a fresh code for the same amount.

You can also tap **CHECK STATUS** at any time while the code is showing, or **CANCEL** to start over. Every QR payment appears in [Transactions](/transactions/).

## Common issues

### QR Terminal says it is not configured. What do I do?

Go to Platform Setup > Payment, open the QR Terminal tab, choose a Portal Key and your QR Payment Channels, then click Save QR Terminal Settings.

### The QR code expired but my customer says they paid. Did I lose the payment?

No. On the expired screen, click Customer already paid? Check status. BCL checks the payment again before you generate a new code.

### Can I change the quick amount buttons?

Yes. In the QR Terminal tab under Platform Setup > Payment, add your own amounts in Quick Amounts (RM).
