Send WhatsApp notifications with Wabot or Wasapbot

Updated

BCL can send a WhatsApp message to your customer, to you, or both, when a payment succeeds or fails. Messages go out from your own WhatsApp number through Wabot or Wasapbot, so you need an account with one of them.

Start in your provider’s dashboard (Wabot or Wasapbot): connect your WhatsApp number and copy the Access Token and Instance ID. Then, in BCL:

  1. Go to Platform Setup > Integration and open the WhatsApp (Automation) tab.
  2. Open Wabot Integration or Wasapbot Integration and turn on Enable Wabot Integration or Enable Wasapbot Integration.
  3. Paste the Access Token and Instance ID.
  4. Click Verify Connection. You should see Connection Successful with your WhatsApp name.
  5. Under Admin Phone, enter the Admin Phone Number that should receive admin alerts.
  6. Click Save Automation Node Configuration.

You choose the provider and messages on each form. Payment, event and booking forms have a Notifications page; lead forms have a similar WhatsApp Notifications tab under Additional.

  1. Open the form, for example under Payments > Forms.
  2. Click Notifications, then the WhatsApp Notifications tab.
  3. Pick your WhatsApp Provider. Optional: enter an Admin Phone (Override) to send this form’s admin alerts to a different number.
  4. Turn on the messages you want: Enable Success WhatsApp (Customer), Enable Failed WhatsApp (Customer), Enable Success WhatsApp (Admin) and Enable Failed WhatsApp (Admin).
  5. Write each template, or click Use Default for a ready-made one. Click Variables to see placeholders such as {name}, {amount} and {receipt_url}. Each message can be up to 1,000 characters.
  6. Click Save Notification Settings.

For more control, such as reminders or messages at other moments, use a Wabot or Wasapbot action in BCL’s automations.
